As daily temp drops to 30F and often lower, it's the best time to run outside exploring the frosty chill of Chicago before it gets too cold. I mean => 10 F. My recent runs have been great mostly with hoka one one clifton (the old model) with the average pace of 7:20-40 for <= 10 miles. The lap pace drops to 7:10 as my run goes towards the end. One thing I have recently noticed in my footing was the weak left foot. I can clearly sense lifting up my right foot naturally or effortlessly, but left foot was a little awkward. More precisely, I can't clearly sense each footstep of my left foot because right foot was doing the work (pushing off). So last night, my focus was on the left foot and see how it goes. Gladly, it actually worked out pretty well and I feel my left foot is getting stronger (?).
It's nice to catch these little things up that may improve an overall performance.
