The North Face Endurance Challenge Marathon (04:02:32; 26/143)

This is one of the races in my bucket list. That is because I like northface products, esp., jacket.  How silly this is...

Since the race starts at 9 am (5am for 50miler, 7 am for 50k, and so on), I got up at 5 am, ate some carbs, and then headed out to WI.  It took about 2h30m to get to the start area. It was chilly and (a bit) windy which was good for running. I did a few 50k trail races, but this one was like the real trail race which ultrarunners talk about.  I meant rocks, roots, grass, etc. It had all. Overall, it was challenging (elevation gain: 1179 ft) as I mostly run in Chicago area (flatlanders), but my ultra running experiences definitely helped me get through this.  All in all, this race was good to check my physical condition after the recent 50miler and nice training run for the Grand Rapids marathon in 2 weeks.
